About the Artist
Cristina Parra Walker — known in the creative world as Crispywalker — is a Cuban-American artist whose work sparks conversation, invites fresh perspectives, and celebrates the intricate beauty of the world around us. With a keen eye for detail and a fearless approach to experimentation, Crispy brings both discipline and playfulness to her creative process.
Born in Denver and shaped by life across the U.S. and abroad — from New Mexico to Maryland, Texas to Kansas, and internationally in Johannesburg and London — her art is deeply influenced by her multicultural experiences. Crispy’s time overseas offered rich opportunities for formal training in watercolor, mixed media, figure drawing, art history, and pottery, all of which continue to inform her evolving style.
Crispy is a first-generation American with Cuban roots and is fluent in Spanish. She currently lives in Kansas with her husband and two beloved dogs. Her three grown children remain her greatest source of pride and inspiration.
Beyond the studio, she brings her creativity to the world of marketing and communications. With a degree in Communications and a minor in Writing from Loyola University Maryland, she has authored over 175 published articles and currently serves as Enterprise Marketing Manager at DLR Group. She’s also a passionate public speaker and community advocate, donating 25% of her art proceeds to Kansas City-based charities.
Whether through brushstrokes or branding, Crispy is driven by a desire to connect, uplift, and make a meaningful impact.

Cris is extremely organized and very creative in execution and development and of ideas. Her public speaking is so natural and she is very comfortable in front of any sized group. She has an eye for good design no matter what she is working on. I enjoy working with her!
